Cream for the summer months and a cooling salve.
This cream is made with raw Shea Butter mixed with a precise mixture of essential oils and the raw paste of red sandalwood core. Red sandalwood (Pterocarpus santalinus) or “Rakta chandan” possesses skin lightening and anti-gaining properties that keeps skin supple. It is also very cooling for inflamed skin.
I make a raw sandalwood paste by rubbing the core against the pestle in the traditional Indian way. Then the paste is mixed with other essential oils to form the cream.

No colors have been added. The slight gold pink color comes from the fresh red paste of the core.

These different oils contribute to the health, firmness, and elasticity of your skin in various ways.
Sweet Almond is used to soothe and re-condition skin. Rose Hip oil has Vitamins A and E. 
Sandalwood essential oil balances oil in skin.
Chamomile is soothing in a balance with jojoba oil.
