Attar is an unfamiliar term in modern cosmetics but in traditional Ayurvedic and Unani practices, the use of attar is centuries old. This Ayurvedic cream is part of natural holistic skincare and helps in brightening skin.
Attar is a blend of woody and floral essence that is created in a still (deg) with the addition of water and flowers/petals/wood.
This blend is placed in a still (deg) and covered with water. The deg is heated and vapors from the mash rise to the top. Then these fragrant vapors exit through a small hole into a bamboo tube (chonga) which leads them to a receiver, the (Bhapka).

It is used for religious purposes and also as a perfume.
The recipe for attar is a secret to most people and it is created without the use of alcohol.
The scent of Attar is floral, sensuous and very hard to describe. Unique in its own right.

I have a limited supply of attar and this cream will be made of shea butter, beeswax, almond oil, saffron threads and blended with attar as the base note with other essential oils. The scent is very unique and once you use it, I guarantee, you will come back for more. Very smooth and delicate cream.
